Finding a qualified teacher for sacred knowledge is extremely important to avoid misguidance and misunderstandings. Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, among what I fear most for my nation is every hypocrite with a knowledgeable tongue.” With modern technology “self taught shaykhs and alim” are able to easily lead people away from the widely agreed upon consensus of beliefs and legal rulings. This blameworthy practice causes division and distain within the ummah. Our teachers seek to rectify this situation with any and all means Allah provides, through maintaining strict adherence to al sunnah wal jamaah, (the traditions and the consensus) and seek to impart sacred knowledge to sincere hearts, eager to draw near to Allah and His Beloved ﷺ.
